Adapta is a very nice material design like GTK theme. It has a light and a dark variant as well. Lots of it’s elements are forked from Flat-Plat GTK theme. Adapta currently supports numerous desktop environments:
- GNOME 3.20 (or 3.18)
- gnome-shell >= 3.19.92 (or 3.18.4)
- mutter >= 3.19.92 (or 3.18.4)
- GNOME-Flashback 3.18.x
- budgie-desktop 10.2.x
- Unity7 7.4.0
- Cinnamon 2.8.x
Unity and Cinnamon are under W.I.P state, but the developer is very active so I believe they will be fully ready soon. At the moment MATE, Xfce and Pantheon are not supported.
Installation
If you’re using Ubuntu or any other Ubuntu based distribution with a supported desktop environment you can install Adapta by typing the following lines in Terminal:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:tista/adapta -y
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install adapta-gtk-theme
In case you’re using a different distribution please check Adapta’s GitHub page for more information about installing.
