On Reddit’s /r/Linux section they made a survey with different questions about Linux. They just published the survey results which contains some very interesting results. It turns out that Arch is the most popular desktop Linux distribution among the voters followed by Ubuntu and Debian.
Looking at the desktop environments Gnome seems to be the most loved and one of the most hated as well. Most of the voters seem to prefer Nvidia as their GPU vendor, which is suprising to me as many have problems with using Nvidia on Linux.
