Elementary OS team is busy fixing remaining bugs in Freya so that they can release the RC soon. Freya is being updated daily and some nice little new features or enhancements (such as the new Terminal search feature) can be seen quite frequently.
In the latest update the maximize / unmaximize animation got even smoother. I really like it! Check out a video about it:
Seems like Daniel Foré is also using Chrome instead of Midori. 
Another news is that two new ISOs landed at elementary’s SourceForge page in the unstable folder. These contain newer kernel (3.16) and xorg. These are for testing purposes of course and if the feedback the team receives are good then Freya RC will also be based on these versions.
